SO YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY? Now in it's 17th year and backed by Ch5 and the Paramount Comedy channel, the annual search for the best new acts who have not done regular comedy gigs - (paid or unpayed) for the previous 18 months. Heats are held around the country in late spring with the best acts taking part in one of seven heats at the Fringe. Winners of each go forward to the Grand Final at the Gilded Balloon. |

Telegraph Open Mic Awards Europe's biggest stand-up talent competition for anyone over 16 (who have never been paid for a comedy gig). 5 Minute heats running from September thru till April, regional semi-finals in May and the 'top celeb' judged Grand Final at Edfest. Prizes include £2,000, and spots at Montreal and Melbourne comedy festivals. |
